The 12th Annual High Peaks Art Festival is June 23-24. This  juried show features fine arts and contemporary crafts  as well as live music, face painting,  sunshine and fresh mountain air.  Come on by  ~  Free  Admission !

2012 Featured Artist:
Our Featured Artist this year is watercolor painter Carmel Walden of New Castle, Colorado. New to the  High Peaks Art Festival, Carmel will be exhibiting her original paintings, prints and greeting cards.

Carmel grew up surrounded by the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and now seeks to celebrate nature through her portraits of Colorado wildflowers, trees, mountains  and wildlife.

Carmel’s “Colorado Sunshine” is featured on the cover of the Festival Guide, tshirts and posters.

2012 Featured Non-profit:
The 2012 Featured Non-Profit is the Nederland Community Library Foundation, whose booth will be a celebration of books and book arts.

New This Year:
High Peaks Art Festival is pleased to announce that net profits will be used within the Nederland community to sponsor art related activities, including the May/June “Art at the Center” juried art exhibition at the Nederland Community Center. Stop by the Center on June 7th for opening night. Additionally, Roland Platt of Nederland has  received the 1st  Annual High Peaks Art Festival scholarship for theater arts.
